We are looking for a capable, motivated and hands-on Chief Officer to join an exciting 40m private new-build motor yacht currently under construction in Italy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chief Officer or a strong Second Officer looking to step up, who enjoys the challenges of a new build and is keen to be involved in the vessel's final construction, commissioning and delivery stages. The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced Captain to establish a professional, efficient and safety-focused deck department ahead of the yacht's inaugural Mediterranean season.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for deck department setup, equipment procurement, inventories, maintenance schedules, safety procedures and exterior operations, while coordinating closely with the shipyard, contractors and suppliers. Duties will also include navigational watchkeeping, passage planning, tender operations, watersports, crew training and assisting with regulatory compliance and safety drills. We are looking for someone who is exceptionally organised, technically capable and confident taking initiative, with previous new-build, commissioning or major refit experience being highly advantageous.
Start Date: 01 December
Salary: €7,500
Leave Package: 60 days anually
